Also known as: SUPERB ultrasound, mid-dermis ultrasound lifting
Sofwave targets the mid-dermis at around 1.5 mm with parallel ultrasound beams, building collagen where fine lines and early laxity begin. Because it stays in the dermis, it’s a good fit for slimmer faces where deeper energy could make cheeks look hollow.

Overview
What is Sofwave?
Not every face needs deep lifting. When skin begins to loosen and fine lines appear, the change often starts in the mid-dermis.
Sofwave sends several parallel beams to the same depth at once, with built-in cooling. It is FDA-cleared for lifting the eyebrow, under-chin and neck, and for improving facial lines.
How it works
How it works
About 1.5 mm deep — where collagen is densest.
Protects the skin surface during each pulse.
Energy stays above the fat layer.
Our principles
How we do it at Taut
We choose it when deeper energy could hollow the cheeks.
The shot count is recorded before treatment.
Ultherapy covers the SMAS and Sofwave the mid-dermis; for low-downtime visits we pair Sofwave with Skin Botox in our Before-Flight Lift.

Doctor’s note
Sofwave is my first choice when someone’s face is slim and they’re worried about looking hollow. Treating the right depth matters more than going deeper.
