Energy converges at a set depth, creating small thermal points without cutting the skin.

Also known as: Ulthera, Ulthera Prime, HIFU lifting, non-surgical facelift
Ultherapy Prime delivers focused ultrasound to 1.5, 3.0 and 4.5 mm depths, down to the SMAS layer that supports the face. Live imaging lets us confirm the layer before each line. At Taut, the shot count is written on your record before treatment, and a doctor performs it.

Overview
What is Ultherapy Prime?
When the jawline blurs and the cheeks drop, the cause is often deeper than the skin. The SMAS — the fibrous layer surgeons lift in a facelift — loosens with time.
Ultherapy focuses ultrasound energy at a set depth to create tiny thermal points, prompting the tissue to contract and rebuild collagen over the following months. It is FDA-cleared for lifting the brow, neck and under-chin, and improving lines on the chest.
How it works
How it works
4.5 mm for the SMAS, 3.0 mm for the deep dermis, 1.5 mm for the superficial dermis.
The transducer shows the layers on screen so we can avoid bone and place each line precisely.
Collagen rebuilds over 2–3 months; many feel firmer right after.
Our principles
How we do it at Taut
We plan by layer and area rather than chasing a big number.
Shot counts are recorded first and checked on the counter with you.
Each transducer has a set number of lines that the device reads. We check the remaining count with you before and after.

Doctor’s note
The most common mistake with Ultherapy is chasing shot counts. On a slimmer face, too much at the wrong depth can make cheeks look hollow. We start from the layer, not the number.

Questions
Ultherapy Prime FAQ
Does it hurt?
Deeper lines can feel sharp near bone; we use topical numbing and adjust energy. If you are worried about pain, let us know beforehand. Besides numbing cream and cooling, we can use painkillers, anesthetic injections or sedation, depending on the treatment, to manage pain first.
When will I see results?
Some firmness right away; the main change builds over 2–3 months.
Can I fly the next day?
Yes, in most cases.
Ultherapy or Thermage?
Ultherapy for deeper sagging, Thermage for skin firmness. Many combine them in our Layer Lift.
How often?
Usually once a year, depending on your skin.
